This guide will instruct you on accessing Net Informant's Remote Monitoring and Management platform.

Connecting to the Remote Management System

Step 1:

Download and install the following app.   This will simplify accessing remote control in later steps.   If you have used the system before on this computer, you may skip this step.

Install:  Remote Connection Client   (Ctrl +Click)

Step 2:

Using the Internet Explorer (v10 or 11) application, browse to …

Log in using your assigned credentials, which you should have received via email.  If you do not have credentials, please contact support at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Step 3:

After clicking “Login”, you should receive a 2-Factor Authentication Code prompt.   Using your approved smart device, generate a 2FA code (if you do not have a device set up, see the “2-Factor Authentication” setup below.).   Enter your personal PIN code + The code on your device.

Step 4:

Once logged in, in the left hand column are a series of modules to the system, determined by your access rights.  The last module you used will be saved.  The main component you will be accessing is “Remote Control”.   Click on the orange category to open the menu, and select “Remote Control”

Once you are in the “Remote Control” module, click “Control Machine” in the menu.

Step 5:

In the main window, a list on machines will appear.   To connect to a machine, click the Icon next to the machine.  This should open the app loaded in Step 1, and connect you to the desktop of the PC.

Congratulations!   You can now interact with the PC.   Note that the end user is sharing the session, so they will see the screen, and can interact at the same time as you.

2FA Setup:

In order to access the Remote management system, you will need a softtoken for 2 factor authentication, as required by PCI security standards.   This is a program, tied to your smartphone that acts as an additional security key.   It may only be tied to one device at a time, is specific to you, and the codes generated are only good for 30 seconds.  Please have your device ready when attempting to log in.

On your smart phone, you need to install the AuthAnvil SoftToken software.  You can find it in the AppStore or Google Play Store under the name “AuthAnvil SoftToken” or you can open this website on your smart phone as well:

After the software is installed, you will need a Token Serial and Activation code.  If you do not have these, please contact tech support (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) For the purposes of this walkthrough, We will use sample values below.   These will not work for you!   You will need a serial assigned by tech support.

Set up your phone with the following information:

Token Serial:          123456789

Activation Code:   1234567

Once your phone is activated, please go to this site to activate your AuthAnvil account and create your PIN #:  Please keep note of your pin number as you will need it as part of your login. You will need the information below:

Token Serial:          123456789

Activation (PIN):   1234567

Test your Token once configured at the following website:

Click “Test your token

Enter your username as above and your Pin + generated code as the Passcode (for example, if your PIN# is 1234 and the 8 digit code from your phone is 74185296, then the passcode is “123474185296”)

After your account is active and tested, on your computer you can login to the remote access website:

Username: davidpj

 Password: (no change)

Passcode: PIN# and the 8 digit code from your phone (for example, if your PIN# is 1234 and the 8 digit code from your phone is 74185296, then the passcode is “123474185296”)

We know this is quite a detailed process.  If you have any questions please give our office a call.
